Fun: Full Speed Ahead by The Rassles makes for one seriously energized, liberating and fun yoga class. Put it on and charge forward. Many thank yous to my new yoga music guru (I hope it's not because he hates my mixes), Jamie Ramsey. And, many thank yous to the 30 yogis who came to their mats tonight and shared that fun energy. :o)
Funny: New batch of students today as a new semester begins. They fill out index cards with basic information, one being "Tell me something you do after school." With my more experimental 8th graders, I add to that statement, "Keep it legal--I don't need to know about the illegal stuff you do." They giggle, and my eyes dart to the boy with 8 hickies on his neck. Ew ew ew ew ew.
