  2. What I do to stay balanced....during the week, no matter how busy/stressful/crazy my day is, I always take at least 30 minutes to get away from my desk at lunchtime. I need that mental break where I am not a mother/accountant/chaufeur/cook/etc. etc. etc. Weather it's lunch with co-workers, or simply a quick walk outside, it's a time when I can just regroup, gather my thoughts, and...stay balanced.

  6. I take Sundays to balance myself! I very rarely make "plans" on a Sunday. I get up when I want to (I know, I know... curse the single girl!), make breakfast, drink coffee, read the newspaper, do all my laundry, and clean my entire house. Yes, my entire house. I know this seems strange for someone who lives alone, but it helps balance my whole week to start Monday with a clean, organized house!

  7. Balance? I'm really not sure what balance is... says the yoga teacher. But I try by giving myself an hour 3 days a week to disconnect from my life and run (or take this fabulous hip hop class at the gym where you can't help but forget about everything).

  9. My incredible husband keeps me balanced...he supports me daily by encouraging me to not take things so seriously. I keep myself balanced by exercising when the baby goes down for a nap and I LOVE to be outside breathing in the fresh air...I also find that my monthly girls night out helps me get away from the daily mommy grind:)

  10. I found my balance a few months ago when I became a pre and postnatal fitness instructor. I love having something in my life that gives me satisfaction, accomplishment and nurishes my spirit outside of wife/motherhood. It also forces me to get in several good workouts a week which is good for my mind (patience to deal with toddler) and body (strength to keep up with toddler). Plus, I find that working with other moms who are facing similar struggles makes me feel empowered, secure and well, balanced!

  11. I guess i missed the part about what i do to stay balanced. I have Monday's off all by myself no boyfriend, work, or little boys to worry about (until 2:45 of course) but i find myself doing simple things that others take for granted. I enjoy cleaning up my little house, riding my bike and having quiet time. I'm an introverted person and i LOVE alone time. My monday's balance out the rest of my week - After i spend the morning doing important things i find "me time" to ride my bike, go shopping or even have a quiet lunch these things make for such a more balanced and positive work/normal week!

  12. Balance for me comes in the little things; a bowl of ice cream, laughing with/ at my daughter, a drive with my husband, curling up on the couch with my pup... These all make the bad things seem not so bad. ;)

  13. I have been trying to stay balanced by taking time to read every day. Some fiction, some parenting books, some Bible...I guess I have to balance my reading too...
Also I really try to strap the kids into the Burley when the weather allows and go for as long a walk as they will let me ;)

  14. The only thing that keeps me balanced is my morning coffee! That's the problem- I don't have any balance and it's so exhausting b/c structure doesn't exist!

  15. My dear husband & my Kindle help to keep me balanced:) Frank is very supportive of my need to have some extra time in the evenings to take a yoga class, go on a walk, sweat to Jillian Michaels, get some retail therapy, or have a night out with the girls. And at the end of the day, I make sure to take a few minutes to curl up with a brainless fiction novel.

  16. I'm still trying to figure out how to become balanced and juggle the craziness that is my life. The occasional glimpses of balance come from my tennis lessons (which are the only guaranteed “me time” of my week), a nightly vodka cranberry (which helps to maintain my sanity), and staying up until midnight to read or watch TV (which allows me to unwind from the stress of the day).

  17. It is so hard to find balance, especially when there are so many things pulling us in so many different directions. So I take small steps Some day it is a yoga class, some days just focusing on my breath through my personal practice. And some days kicking and punching the heck out of a bag at my kickboxing studio does the trick.

  18. I don't have balance, but I try to find it a little more each day. After a long day, I try to either work out and watch a little TV to decompress or work out and then read a magazine. If I can skype with a few friends each week, that helps too. Nothing novel, but it works for me.
